Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
Lexington, OH
Opening in 1962, Mid Ohio Sports Car Course has been a staple for sport car and open wheel racing in the United States. Hosting IndyCar, IMSA, local sport car series, and motorcycle racing, Mid Ohio has a rich tradition of motorsport. NASCAR would make their first trip to the 2.25 mile track in 2013, adding another road course to the schedule.
The 2.25 mile track features 13 turns and over 136 feet of elevation changes, making this a very demanding and challenging course to drive on. When the first Xfinity race was held in 2013, AJ Allmendinger took home the win, and ushered in a new era for road course racing in NASCAR.
At full capacity, Mid Ohio can seat 75,000 fans, with 12,000 in the grandstand. Fans are welcome to bring chair and tents and spectate all around the pristine track.
