TRACK BIOGRAPHY

Since opening in 1969, Dover Motor Speedway has been hosting at least one NASCAR Cup series race since then. With a unique concrete surface one mile in length, the track has earned the nickname “The Monster Mile” and has been a challenge for drivers. Dover features banking in the corners at 24 degrees, and 9 degrees in the straightaways, which leads to challenging conditions as the race goes on.
