Dover Motor Speedway has hosted exciting racing and entertainment events for national and international guests for more than 50 years.
The green flag dropped on Dover Motor Speedway events on July 6, 1969, when Richard Petty won the Mason-Dixon 300 by six laps.
In 2024, the concrete oval nicknamed the “Monster Mile®” hosts another NASCAR tripleheader weekend, featuring the Würth 400, the 106th NASCAR Cup Series race in track history. Dover is one of only 10 tracks in the country to have hosted 100 or more NASCAR Cup Series events.
Dover features 24-degree banking in the corners and 9 degrees in the straightaways, which is not only challenge for the drivers and equipment but also makes the track the World’s Fastest One-Mile Oval.
