NASCAR TEAMS
TRACKHOUSE RACING
Trackhouse Racing made its debut in 2021. Owner Justin Marks joined forces with rapper Pitbull to start the team, initially fielding the No. 99 Chevrolet for driver Daniel Suárez. In 2022, the team shocked the NASCAR world after purchasing former team Chip Ganassi Racing and hiring driver Ross Chastain to drive the No. 1 Chevrolet. The team would get their first win with Chastain in 2022 at Circuit of The Americas, and go on to win two more races in 2022 at Talladega (Chastain) and Sonoma (Suárez). In 2022, Ross Chastain was one of the Championship 4 drivers after his now famous “Hail Melon” move.
The team also fields a third entry in a few races, titled “Project 91”, encouraging drivers from other motorsports disciplines to try their hand in NASCAR. So far, Project 91 has entered four races with Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen and Australian Supercars ace Shane van Gisbergen behind the wheel. Van Gisbergen won in his Cup Series debut at the Chicago Street Course and followed that performance up with a top-10 finish at the Indy Road Course.
