Team Biography

Team Penske, formerly known as Penske Racing, was founded in 1972 by ‘The Captain’ Roger Penske. The company has consistently run full time in the sport since 1991 fielding multiple cars. Team Penske has earned four driver’s titles and 139 victories in the Cup Series so far. Notable drivers to race under the Penske banner include Rusty Wallace, Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman, Jeremy Mayfield, Sam Hornish Jr. and Brad Keselowski. Penske’s program also runs full time in the NTT IndyCar Series, where it has collected numerous championships and Indianapolis 500 triumphs.
Team Penske also fields Porsche prototypes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship, under the Porsche Penske Motorsport banner. Penske fields three cars in the NASCAR Cup Series with drivers Austin Cindric (No. 2), 2023 Cup champion Ryan Blaney (No. 12) and two-time Cup champion Joey Logano (No. 22).
